Job Description
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner needed in southwestern Minnesota. Psych NP with prescriptive authority needed for a stable midsized practice in a picturesque riverside community of 14,000 residents in SW MN approximately 1.5 hours from the TC of St. Paul and Minneapolis. Practice with autonomy and collegiality in an ambulatory psychiatric clinic with professional colleagues who are psychiatrists, licensed social workers, psychologists and one psychiatric CNS. New patient assessment visits are 60 minutes, med rechecks are 30 and an average day is 7-11 patients. Facility is modern and also hosts both inpatient substance abuse and psychiatric units to refer to as needed, those patients are cared for by a separate team of professionals. This is a welcoming group and they have time and patience to mentor a new graduate. Pediatric skills and experience are especially needed, but not required.
